Alex Pettyfer's career is on fire -- and apparently, so is his home!
Shortly before Dianna Agron's volatile ex was scheduled to attend Beastly's L.A. premiere Thursday, a rep told UsMagazine.com the 20-year-old Brit may not show up "due to a small house fire."

Fortunately, the small garage blaze was "contained" and Pettyfer swung by the red carpet after all; he spent a short time signing autographs for fans before heading inside.
According to CBS, 27 LAFD firefighters got the fire under control in 24 minutes; they received aid from the Beverly Hills fire department.

Pettyfer's leading lady, Vanessa Hudgens, told UsMagazine.com she was kept in the dark about her costar's last-minute emergency.
"It's been a very crazy time for me recently so we haven't really had a chance to catch up," the 22-year-old starlet said, adding that Pettyfer was a good sport on set.

"I really applaud the fact that he sat through hair and make-up for five and a half hours a day," Hudgens told Us.
