Singer Amy Winehouse's parents visited with mourners outside her Camden Square home in London Monday. Her father, Mitch, thanked fans for coming to lay bouquets, candles and handwritten notes on the outskirts of the singer's home.
His wife Janis broke down as she examined the flowers, candles, vodka bottles, cigarettes, flags, wine glasses, drawings and handwritten cards. In a statement released Sunday, the Winehouse family told Us Weekly they have "been left bereft by the loss of Amy, a wonderful daughter, sister, niece. She leaves a gaping hole in our lives. We are coming together to remember her and we would appreciate some privacy and space at this terrible time."
Winehouse's boyfriend, Reg Traviss, joined the singer's parents at the memorial.
