The Skinnygirl mogul has donated $50,000 to the Red Cross to help relief efforts, a source close to the Bethenny talk show host tells Us Weekly.

"Bethenny is an East Coast girl," the source says, "and hopes the stream of donations from people all over America and the world will reach those affected, save more lives and help build back the East Coast. It is so important in times like this that we come together and help in any way we can."

In addition, Skinnygirl cocktails matched Frankel's personal donation and gave $50,000 to the Red Cross as well. Skinnygirl On-the-Go Bars also shipped 5,000 bars (with a $10,000 retail value) to New Jersey for Red Cross to give out.

Frankel, 41, who lives in NYC with husband Jason Hoppy and daughter Bryn, 2, shared her reaction of Sandy's destruction with her Twitter followers Tuesday.

"We just woke up. So sad about all of the terrible deaths and tragedies," she wrote. "Love and prayers to your families. Is hurricane sandy over?"

Frankel later added, "The only bright light during the stress of sandy is that I've been with my family 24 hours a day for a week."
