Stars may be just like Us, but Queen Bey is no mere star -- she falls into her own separate category.
For those wondering what a day in the life of Beyonce is really like, HBO is giving fans unprecedented access to the super-private pop icon with its new documentary about the singer, set to air February 16, 2013. (Beyonce, 31, is directing and executive-producing the special.)
The network released the special's first teaser this week, a jaw-dropping montage of performances, backstage embraces with Jay-Z and, yes -- her bare Blue Ivy baby bump.
"I always battle with, how much do reveal about myself?" the singer confesses in the preview. "If I'm scared, be scared. Allow it. Release it."
"Everybody knows Beyonce's music, but few know Beyonce the person," HBO's president of programming, Michael Lombardo, shared in a recent statement. "Along with electrifying footage of Beyonce onstage, this unique special looks beyond the glamor to reveal a vibrant, vulnerable, unforgettable woman."
