Bobbi Kristina: I Have to Carry On My Mother's Legacy

It's been exactly one month since Whitney Houston was found lifeless in her Beverly Hilton hotel room, and by all accounts, daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown is handling the tragedy quite well.

"I'm doing as good as I possibly can at this point. I'm just trying to keep going," the 19-year-old told Oprah Winfrey in a pre-taped interview on Oprah's Next Chapter Sunday. "I can sing her music, but to hear it now, I can't. I can hear her voice telling me, 'Keep moving, baby. I got you.' She's always with me. I can always feel her with me. She used to always say, 'Do you need me?' And I said, 'I always need you.'"

Brown told Winfrey, 58, she still feels close to her mother. "I feel her pass through me all the time. I wake up at night," she said. "She would say at 5 a.m. the saints start praying. I wake up now and look at the clock and it's 5 o'clock. I start praying."

The aspiring singer is still living in her late mother's Atlanta home. "Lights turn on and off and I'm like, 'Mom, what are you doing?'" Brown said. "I can still laugh with her and still talk to her."

Calling the "I Look to You" singer "my confidante, my everything," Brown said she plans to follow in her mother's famous footsteps. "I have to carry on the legacy," she explained. "We're gonna do the singing thing. Some acting, some dancing."

"It's a lot of pressure," Brown added, "but she prepared me for it."

Brown didn't realize her mother's impact on the world until her memorial in Newark, New Jersey. "That's when it hit me," she told Winfrey.

"I just saw her as mom. The first time I saw her as a worldwide icon was when we went on tour. And the funeral. . . She made an impact not only on a few people. She made an impact on the world."
