Bradley Cooper and Zoe Saldana may be on-again, off-again in real life, but their magnetic bond is still effortlessly evident in a clip from their new flick, The Words, out this Friday.

"She's sort of like his Northern Star -- there's nothing that she wouldn't do or give up for him," Saldana, 34, says of her character Dora's love for Rory (Cooper). In the flick, Saldana's Dora tirelessly supports Rory in his quest to become a published author.

"It's a tremendous love story between Dora and Rory -- a story that everyone can relate to," argues Cooper, 37. "The power of their love can almost surpass any obstacle -- in a real way, not in a movie way."
