Celebrities Hit the Campaign Trail for President Barack Obama

Celebs want you to Barack the vote! 

The upcoming presidential election got a serious jolt of star power this weekend when Eva Longoria, Jon Hamm, and other A-listers volunteered their time to support President Barack Obama in his re-election campaign against Republican nominee Mitt Romney, the former governor of Massachusetts.

With Election Day just over a week away, Longoria, an Obama campaign co-chair, headed down to Florida, where she spoke with voters in Orlando, Weston, Tampa, and Hialeah.

"Morning, Floridians!" she tweeted Sunday, Oct. 28. "[I'm] in Orlando and Tampa today! Don't forget [that] early voting started! Go vote from now til Nov. 3rd!"

Hamm, meanwhile, appealed to residents in Nevada, with help from actor Bryan Greenberg, of HBO's How to Make It in America.

"Jon Hamm and I. Two St. Louis boys who want you to vote," Greenberg, 34, wrote alongside an Instagrammed snapshot of himself with the Mad Men star, 41, wearing an Obama/Biden button on his leather jacket. 

The pair also helped to get out the vote in Colorado, where Hamm and his longtime girlfriend, Friends With Kids actress Jennifer Westfeldt, posed for photos with the Colorado Votemobile and then settled in to work the phone bank with other Obama volunteers. They were joined by fellow actors Nick Zano, Rachael Leigh Cook, Stephanie March, and Ben McKenzie.

Across the country in New Hampshire, actress Julianne Moore donned a cape emblazoned with the Obama logo.

"Super volunteers for @BarackObama!" the 51-year-old Oscar nominee tweeted, along with a reminder for everyone to vote.

Joining Moore on the East Coast were singers James Taylor, Alicia Keys, and rock legend Bruce Springsteen, who fired up the campaign with a performance of "We Take Care of Our Own" for voters in Pittsburgh, Pa.

Keys, 31, took the stage for Obama in North Carolina, where fellow musicians Trey Songz and LeToya Luckett also campaigned, along with actor/comedian Kevin Hart.

"Me & @letoyaLuckett at NCCU encouraging young people to VOTE," Hart tweeted, linking to a photo of himself and the one-time member of Destiny's Child.

The cast of The Hangover 3 also got in on the action. On Saturday, Oct. 27, stars Zach Galifianakis, Ken Jeong, and Ed Helms paid a visit to a local field office, where they spoke with Obama campaign volunteers. 

Other high-profile supporters included Laurence Fishburne, Padma Lakshmi, Magic Johnson, and Russell Simmons.

"Come to meet celebrities, stay to volunteer for the President," the Obama campaign in Colorado tweeted.
