The Hollywood Reporter -- Chad Michael Murray and Diane Marshall-Green are set to star in Other People's Children, an indie drama which marks the feature debut of commercial and documentary director Liz Hinlein.
Written by Adrienne Harris, the story focuses on a homeless, charismatic drifter named P.K. (Murray) who becomes the subject of a documentary film being shot by a young woman named Sam (Marshall-Green). Sam is the daughter of a famous artist who has recently passed away and she is at loose ends until P.K. gives her renewed purpose. Their affair, however, threatens to tear apart the fabric of both of their lives.
Michael Mosley (Pan Am), Breanne Racano (Freaky Deaky), Harrison Thomas (Banshee) and Sofia Vassilieva (Medium) have also been cast.
Marshall-Green, an up-and-coming actress who has appeared on 90210 and Sons of Anarchy, and Harris worked together developing the script, figuring they should create their own opportunities to breakthough to the next level. When it came to finding a director, the duo really made it a point to find a female helmer due to the story being about a woman finding her voice as an artist.
The film is being produced by OPC Film, LLC. William Clevinger is acting as a producer as are Marshall-Green, Harris and Hinlein.
Principal photography is set to commence June 15, 2013 in Los Angeles.
Murray, best known for starring in the long-running TV series One Tree Hill, appears in Fruitvale, which premiered to acclaim at Sundance, and will star opposite Nicolas Cage in Left Behind, which is in pre-production. He is repped by Gersh and Brillstein Entertainment.
Marshall-Green is repped by Genesis Entertainment Partners.
