Later in the day, the embattled 24-year-old singer showed up in a Los Angeles court for a probation review hearing to find out what will come of him amidst reports that the L.A. County D.A.'s Office is not satisfied with how he completed his court-ordered community service.
The "Fine China" singer dressed up for the hearing in a crisp white blazer, black suit and tie, and large frames. He appeared somber as prosecutors carried out the hearing.
Brown was initially given five years of probation and sentenced to 180 days of community service in his hometown of Richmond, Va. after he pleaded guilty to one count of felony assault against then-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009.
Though he completed the court-ordered community service, the D.A.'s Office is unhappy with the sloppy paperwork and possible oversight in how the community service was carried out, KTLA reports. As a result, prosecutors are determining whether or not they'll take Brown on in court again for a probation violation.
According to TMZ, the charge would be only one of several that the singer could face in his July 15 hearing. The site reports that Brown's January parking spot brawl with fellow R&B singer Frank Ocean could resurface, and Brown could be prosecuted for battery in that case as well.
Lastly, the singer is also being investigated for a hit-and-run case after he and on-and-off girlfriend Karrueche Tran rear-ended a Mercedes with their Range Rover in May. Brown reportedly gave the other driver false insurance information, a claim that the singer has since denied.
