Christoph Waltz Mocks Quentin Tarantino Films With DJesus Uncrossed Skit on Saturday Night Live

Who knew serious actor Christoph Waltz had such a funny side? The Django Unchained actor gamely took part in a number of skits on Saturday Night Live on Saturday, Feb. 16, but none was funnier than his portrayal of Jesus Christ in a fake Quentin Tarantino flick, DJesus Uncrossed.

The Austrian actor, 56, donned a beard and wig (and crown of thorns!) to play the title character in the mock movie trailer, in which he slashes through armies of Romans in "the ultimate revenge fantasy."

The scenes are often bloody, and "Brad Pitt" is even set to make a cameo in the film. At one point in the digital short, a stunned onlooker cries "Jesus H. Christ!" to which Waltz deadpans, "the H is silent," in a nod to Jamie Foxx's memorable line in Django Unchained.

"I never knew how much Jesus used the N-word," a fake critic's blurb flashes across the screen.

In his cold open, Waltz proved that he had no problem poking fun of himself when he welcomed a "casual" Adolf Hitler onto the stage.

"I've wanted to host for a long time but they've always said to me, 'Why you? You don't have a sense of humor. 'You're a serious German actor,'" he said. "'Well, first of all, I'm not German, I'm Austrian and Austrians have a wonderful sense of humor. Germans, not so much."

Grammy-nominated band the Alabama Shakes took the stage to round out the night with some Southern rockabilly grooves, including their hit "Always Alright."
