From old Yorkshire to New York!

Downton Abbey stars Hugh Bonneville, Robert James-Collier, Joanne Froggatt, Sophie McShera, and Brendan Coyle enjoyed a little Big Apple bonding this weekend when they hit the town together in NYC.

On Sunday, Dec. 9, the cast of the PBS British-American period drama visited Madison Square Garden to see their first-ever live professional basketball game, between the city's New York Knicks and the Denver Nuggets. Prior to the event, they were welcomed onto the court to take a picture with Knicks forward Amar'e Stoudemire.

The British stars seemed to enjoy the sport -- Bonneville, a.k.a. Robert Crawley, called it "basketamazeballs" on Twitter -- but their loyalties still lie with England.

"It's just not cricket," the actor, 49, tweeted of the game, which the Knicks won 112 to 106.

The cast also braved the New York City subway on Sunday. Bonneville tweeted a photo of himself and his co-stars posing under a "Downtown" sign -- with his hand covering the "w."

"Out and about in #NYC," he wrote beside the pic, along with the hashtag "#downtondoesdowntown."
