Elizabeth Taylor may have been married seven times, but it was no secret that her true-blue, long-lasting love of her life was jewelry. And now fans of the late silver screen siren can get their hands on her personal collection in an auction taking place from December 13-14.
According the Associated Press, Taylor's most iconic baubles, bangles, and necklaces will be sold at Christie's Auction House in NYC early this winter. The 269-piece lot valued at $30 million contains some of the luxe jewels given to Taylor by "the great loves of her life, Mike Todd and Richard Burton" from renowned jewelers like Bulgari and Cartier.
Taylor's lust for standout sparklers was documented in a 2002 memoir My Love Affair with Jewelry where she described the sentiment behind each of her treasured pieces.
So which dazzling gems can bidders expect?
For one, her beloved 33.19-carat diamond ring (given to her by Burton) that would give Kim Kardashian's 20.5-carat rock a run for its money. The impressive bauble is expected to sell for $2.5 million to $3.5 million at the auction.
In addition, Taylor's Duchess of Windsor diamond brooch that she purchased because the proceeds were going towards AIDS research, will be up for bidding. The piece is expected to go for anywhere between $400,000 and $600,000.
In addition to Taylor's iconic gems being bid on in person, 500 pieces of her costume jewelry will be sold online at the same time.
"Christie's also will be selling the star's haute couture and ready-to-wear fashion, accessories, 20th-century decorative arts and film memorabilia from her Bel Air home on Dec. 14-16," the AP writes.
