Prince Harry's military training has apparently paid off, because he's learned how to be stealthy. It's been seven months since he was first linked to Cressida Bonas, and so little has been heard about the romance that most assumed the fling had been quickly flung.
Not so much.
This week, the ginger-topped royal, 28, was snapped in a tender and public embrace with the fair-haired blue blood, 24, as they enjoyed a getaway to the luxury Swiss ski resort of Verbier.
"Harry looked smitten," a spy tells the London Daily Mirror. "Verbier is a busy place, but he didn't care who saw them cuddling."
Their slope-side PDA came after a touchy-feely dinner the night before with a group that included Prince Andrew, his ex-wife Sarah, Duchess of York, and their daughters, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie.
The London Daily Mail says Cressida, decked out in a "minuscule black dress and heels," got up during the meal and plunked herself on Harry's lap. He proceeded to bounce her on his knee in between kissing her and "stroking the back of her head."
In short, they were making out like "love-struck teenagers in the back of a cinema," according to an onlooker.
"We couldn't believe what we were seeing," recalls a pearl-clutching eyewitness. "They were not being discreet about it. The Duchess of York and Eugenie sat just a few seats away at the time and seemed to be deliberately looking the other way, making polite conversation while it was happening. Afterwards, Harry's girl stayed sitting on his knee while they chatted to his friends."
This is the first time Prince Harry has been so publicly enamored since he parted ways with longtime love Chelsy Davy a few years back. Naturally, it's led the British tabloids to speculate that Cressida, the daughter of '60s "it" girl Lady Mary-Gaye Georgiana Lorna Curzon, is "the one."
Harry began dating Bonas last summer, not long before his ill-fated trip to Las Vegas. Word is, she cooled on the romance when photos surfaced of him romping naked in Sin City with random ladies.
But the Mirror says they kept in touch during Harry's five-month tour as an Apache helicopter pilot in Afghanistan and reconnected when he returned home in January.
Still, the spare heir has made it clear that he harbors no illusions about what it's like to date royalty.
"No, not at all, ha ha -- as any girl would ever tell you. It's sort of, 'Oh my God, he's a prince.' But no," he explained to CBS News in March 2012. "The job that it entails … I'm not so much searching for someone to fulfill the role, but obviously, you know, finding someone that would be willing to take it on."
