The Pretty Little Liars star, 22, chatted with Us Weekly prior to spreading some holiday cheer on behalf of Bongo at Kmart in L.A. Dec. 6. "I'm settling into my new house," she said. "I want some kitchen stuff because I have to start cooking now and I really want to be good."
As it stands, Benson has room for improvement. "I just made chocolate chip cookies the other day but they never taste like my mom's do. I followed the directions completely but they never turn out right," she admitted. "I want to do cooking lessons and maybe throw a cool dinner party at my house. It'll take about a month or two."
Benson will be spending the holidays with her family in Orange County, California. "I actually don't get to see that much, so it's really nice to spend time with them," the L.A.-based actress explained.
The Spring Breakers star is looking forward to continuing her family's tradition of opening one present on Christmas Eve. "It's always pajamas!" she laughed. "In the morning, every Christmas -- I've been doing it since I was born -- we go to my grandparents' house and they make this amazing breakfast. My cousins come over and we open presents, but the breakfast is the best thing in the world!"
Her grandmother's best dish, Benson told Us, is her "homemade cinnamon rolls. They're my favorite!"
