Jimmy Fallon is New Host for Universal Studios Tour

Entertainment Tonight, Monday, March 28, 2011, 9:32am (PDT)

SNL alum turned late night talk show host Jimmy Fallon will soon get to add another job to his resume: tour guide.

This spring, the comedian will become The Studio Tour's newest "virtual studio tour guide."

The "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" star will release a series of videos that will be seen in each tram car's hi-def monitors to supplement the Universal Studios Hollywood's tour guide's live narration.

"We really had fun with filming my role," Jimmy said in a press release. "We brought some writers out from our show and added some jokes, more play with the Studio Tour guides, the tram drivers and we added a song or two. The tour itself is a classic, a really great experience. For anyone with any interest in show business, it's all there: the glamour, the glitz, all the hard work that goes into making a movie or a TV show can be experienced on the Universal Studios Hollywood Studio Tour. I'm very happy to be a part of it."

Hollywood's longest running tour, in what's considered a celebrated landmark, has given more than 150 million guests a behind the scenes look at moviemaking with famous production locations including 'War of the Worlds' airplane crash set and ABC's "Desperate Housewives" Wisteria Lane.
