Julianne Hough's Makeup at the Safe Haven Premiere: All the Details

She may be all of 24, but Julianne Hough has come a long way already—at least when it comes to her style. Six years ago, she was an 18-year-old dancer on Dancing With the Stars who looked, well, 18. Last night, she looked nothing less than the fast-rising, glamorous starlet she is.

Dressed in a shimmering silver Alberta Ferretti dress, the actress practically gave off sparks at the Feb. 5 premiere in Hollywood of her new movie, Safe Haven, opposite Josh Duhamel. Hough looked as if she had been born to wear the gown, and one reason her look worked was her flawless makeup.

"Her entire look was inspired by her Alberta Ferretti dress," her makeup artist Spencer Barnes tells Us Weekly. "We wanted to keep the makeup in line with that magical, ethereal feeling, nothing too strong." Nothing too strong except for those exceptionally bold brows, that is!

She was extremely happy with the result…because she was feeling a bit under the weather and felt her skin was looking a bit lackluster."Cheeks and Lips: "I took the Vu-On Rouge in Bouquet Rose and used my fingers to warm it up on the back of my hand, then blended it onto the apples of her cheeks. This skin-on-skin application made it softer and sheerer. Then I took a lip brush and applied the [same rouge] directly onto her lips with it."Eyes: "I took the Le Joli Crayon in Aubergine and smudged it onto her upper lash line. Then using a trio of eye shadows from Face Atelier, I created an iridescent look of pale silver, pink/gold, and deep brown."Brows: "Then I finished off with her brows using the Arch de Triumphe in Fair."Tell Us: What do you think of Hough's makeup look?
