Lauren Conrad Hopes New Boyfriend William Tell Is "The One!"

Cupid's arrow struck Lauren Conrad on Valentine's Day.

The Paper Crown designer, 26, hit it off with University of Southern California law student William Tell, 32, on Valentine's Day, a source recently told Us Weekly. Set up by friends on a double date, "they really connected," a pal explains.

The couple's chemistry isn't surprising to those who know them. Tell -- who hails from Conrad's home turf of Orange County, Calif., and is an ex-guitarist for alternative band Something Corporate -- "gravitates toward dynamic women," according to The Bachelor runner-up Sadie Murray, who dated Tell from 2009 to 2010. (He also dated Hairspray's Brittany Snow, 26, about three years ago.

"He doesn't date just to date," Murray told Us. "He's either deeply in love or he's on to the next thing. . . He's the kind of guy you marry."

And for Conrad, who split with Kyle Howard, 34, last June, the timing couldn't be better. Said a pal: "She hopes he's The One!"
