The designing twins, who spearhead three fashion labels (The Row, Elizabeth + James and Olsenboye) have been named Creative Directors of the brand and will deck out the rubber-soled sneaks with the chic feel of The Row.
"We were at a meeting with Steve [Madden, owner of Superga's North American license], and we were wearing Supergas. Two years later, it kind of fell into our lap," Ashley told WWD. "I really don't think there's anything like this brand. It's a tennis-shoe brand with 100 years under its belt. Superga is really a luxurious brand. We are really hoping to bring it back to its roots."
Celeb fans of the Italian shoe brand include Katie Holmes, Kristen Stewart, and Sienna Miller.
This isn't the first footwear collaboration for the 25-year-old sisters -- The Row recently partnered with TOMS, a shoe company with a charitable edge that donates one pair to a child in need for every set purchased.
