Nashville: Hayden Panettiere Goes on Sham Date With NFL Quarterback

Juliette Barnes has mixed business with pleasure before, but never for the cameras.

In a sneak peek from the Nov. 14 episode of ABC's Nashville, country singer Juliette (Hayden Panettiere) agrees to go on a date with squeaky-clean NFL quarterback Sean Butler (Tilky Montgomery) in an effort to rehab her public image after a string of high-profile screw-ups: a shoplifting scandal followed by a disastrous Good Morning America interview.

As Juliette dines with Sean in full view of the paparazzi, she reminds him, "You know this is a set-up, right? It's just our publicists playing up being good at their jobs. It's not an actual date."

"Yeah, I just figured we could enjoy it anyway, you know?" Sean responds. "Get to know each other a little."

While Sean picks at his pancakes, Juliette decides to criticize his performance on the field. "You were an All-American football in college, No. 1 draft pick, and now you seem completely incapable of completing a pass. I mean, six turnovers in one game?"

As Sean looks at her sternly, Juliette smirks. "What?" she asks. "You said you wanted to get to know each other."

Nashville airs Wednesdays at 10 p.m. EST on ABC.
