Octavia Spencer did a bang-up good job at the Critics' Choice Movie Awards show last night, Jan. 10, at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, CA. And we're not just talking about how she performed on stage presenting the Best Supporting Actor award to The Master's Philip Seymour Hoffman (she was fine). Nor are we talking about her guest performance that same evening on 30 Rock (she played herself and was hilarious).

The key: keeping the bangs longer and cutting them to frame the face.Spencer's entire look, in fact, was flawless. The actress, who won a Best Supporting Actress Oscar last year for her role in The Help, wore a ruched, navy Tadashi Shoji dress that flattered her curves. Statement drop earrings completed her ensemble.
