Sizzling summer ahead! Olivia Wilde and fiance Jason Sudeikis stripped down to their swimsuits for a little fun in the sun in Maui, Hawaii on Sunday, May 26, proving that it's not so hard to transition from sexy singles to enviably engaged after all.
Wilde, 29, wowed in a colorfully striped string bikini while Sudeikis, 37, kept it simple in a pair of red-and-black printed swim trunks. The pair made sure to take full advantage of their sun-drenched locale as well, going snorkeling and paddle boarding, a source tells Us Weekly.
"They spent a lot of time on the beach and were very affectionate and loving," the source added. "Jason seemed like a real gentleman, helping her, holding her towel when she showers. Lots of kissing and passion. Definitely showing their love in public!"
The pair even smooched in the middle of the ocean at one point, in full view of fellow beach-goers.
The Drinking Buddies actress and the Saturday Night Live comedian initially announced their engagement in back in January, and haven't been shy about sharing their feelings about each other since -- though Wilde has admitted that she had her doubts in the beginning.
"I thought, 'He won't be interested in me; I'm not a contender,'" she told Marie Claire of how their relationship began six months after they met at the 2011 finale of SNL. "He was so cool, so funny -- I was such a fan of his and had always fancied his speed and his intelligence. He's a brilliant actor with a brain like lightning … I thought, 'I'm not beautiful enough or his type.'"
Unbeknownst to her, however, Wilde had already set his sights on the actress and knew she was "the one."
"He finally found the one that made him want to commit," a source told Us Weekly. "They've both been through it before and this has just felt right from the get go. Everyone is happy for them."
Wilde was previously married to Italian prince Tao Ruspoli for eight years before the pair split in 2011; Sudeikis was previously married to 30 Rock writer Kay Cannon, but the pair called it quits in 2010 after six years of marriage.
