One Direction's Harry Styles Gets Chest Tattoos: "It Hurt!"

One Direction's Harry Styles has something to get off his chest: "I did get some new tattoos!" he confirmed to Us Weekly exclusively after performing on The X Factor's results show in L.A. Nov. 8.

The 18-year-old "Little Things" singer decided to get inked the day before the band took the stage on the FOX hit. "I got two swallows on my chest," Styles explained. "I like that kind of style of tattoos, like the old sailor kind of tattoos. They symbolize traveling, and we travel a lot!"

Styles, who is currently single, admitted that "it hurt" getting the birds drawn on his body. "Anyone who says tattoos don't hurt is a liar!"

One Direction is currently gearing up for the Nov. 13 release of their new album, Take Me Home. As such, Styles and his bandmates -- Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson -- have been too busy to celebrate their successes.

"We're not old enough to go out over here," the pop star told Us. "It's either that we stay out of trouble or we get in more trouble than we would!"
