Anderson Cooper recently took to his Instagram account to share a sweet shot of him and his close pal Kelly Ripa.

Wearing retro-inspired specs and a gray t-shirt, cable news' favorite silver fox, 45, smiled next to the Live With Kelly host, who, for her part, showed off her tousled blonde hair and a gorgeous, completely bare face.

Ripa's ABC morning show has yet to hire a replacement for her longtime cohost Regis Philbin, who left last fall. Earlier this month, the former soap star, 41, told Us Weekly she'd be thrilled if the CNN standout could somehow fit the co-hosting gig into his schedule.

"We have a connection like nobody else," she shared. "I worship him!"

Unfortunately, Cooper already headlines his own daytime show, Anderson, and "the search continues!" Ripa laments.
