One week after his brief visit to the Big Apple to spend time with daughter Suri, Cruise finally emerged in London -- sans wedding ring.

On Wednesday, the casually clad actor -- reportedly in the U.K. to scout possible filming locations for an upcoming project -- hung out in front of his hotel where he was snapped making a phone call.

Cruise, 50, was blindsided when his wife of five years, Katie Holmes, filed for divorce on June 28. Still, the pair managed to reach a settlement just a little over a week later in which Holmes received primary custody of the couple's only child together.

What exactly are the terms of Cruise and Holmes' agreement when it comes to their daughter?

"Katie wants to make sure the visits are in the context of him being a parent figure," a source recently told Us Weekly. "He adores Suri, but now he's afraid he won't be able to have a close relationship with her."
