Divide and conquer!
Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson kicked off their promotional duties for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2 across the world -- but in separate countries. The newly reunited couple have had to go their separate ways to begin the Twilight tour.
Stewart, 22, landed in Narita, Japan on Monday with a big smile on her face. The actress, who was escorted through the airport by her bodyguard, wore a black shirt, jeans, Converse sneakers and dark shades for the trip. She also styled a backwards printed baseball cap, and carried a bright yellow backpack.
Pattinson, 26, began his promotions in Sydney, Australia Monday with a sexy photo shoot and fan event. The actor gave his signature smoldering stare for the cameras while grabbing his long hair. Pattinson happily snapped photos and signed autographs for Twi-hards, who braved some rain to meet the star.
In an interview with MTV Australia, Pattinson shared his thoughts on how Stewart handled transitioning into a vampire for Breaking Dawn - Part 2.
"She was really excited about being a vampire," he said. "Everybody else who'd been pretty consistently in the movies, they'd obviously been playing a vampire like every day for ages. And so it's funny seeing someone suddenly come into it and try and figure out their own version of the physicality and the mentality of it."
"But her character has a different thing, because she's supposed to find it really easy," Pattinson explained. "It's supposed to be a natural progression for her to become a vampire. It's supposed to be simple. So I guess it was kind of different."
After Stewart was caught cheating with director Rupert Sanders in July, the couple of three years has reconciled. Before they headed out on their separate promotional tours, Pattinson and Stewart were photographed enjoying a little poolside PDA at her Los Feliz, Calif. home last week.
