Pippa Middleton on Halloween, her bottom and her new book

• Pippa Middleton is well aware that her notoriety is due to a now-famous sister, a royally famous brother-in-law and a rather famous body part. But the middle Middleton sibling is finally getting a chance to break out on her own and "paint a picture" of herself -- and she couldn't be happier with the process.

  Middleton is prepping for the U.S. release of her book, "Celebrate," on Oct. 30, and this week's Parade magazine features an exclusive look at the book including an excerpt, quotes from Middleton and an array of tips for entertaining.

  "I know many of you may be reading this out of nothing more than curiosity," writes Middleton, who uses the word "startling" when describing how she felt about her immediate rise to fame thanks to her "bottom." "I've always loved to write, so it seemed natural to try to combine this passion with my enjoyment for entertaining, an enthusiasm I hope to share with others."

  Middleton doesn't just enjoy entertaining, it's also how she makes a living. Middleton previously worked for her family's party-planning business, and is currently employed by a London-based events firm.

  While the book contains helpful hints for entertaining on various occasions, there are tips for the upcoming Halloween. Some of those include: "Stir witchy cauldrons of pumpkin soup; hang homemade spiders inside window nooks; string cobwebs on tables; a simply carved pumpkin lit up among glimmering candles; and haunt gardens, attics, and stairways with ghosts made from sheets."

  While those all sound fittingly spooky, what exactly will Middleton be doing on Halloween?

  Reading the excerpt it's clear that Middleton has a fondness for the spookiest night of the year. “As a child, I felt that Halloween was a time when creatures of the night suddenly came to life -- we would turn off all the lights in the house and let flickering candlelight conjure up scary shadows and imaginary figures lurking in dark corners," she writes.

  My, how times have changed.

  "Nowadays,” she continues, "I frequently celebrate Halloween over a supper with friends. It's a wonderful excuse to let your imagination run riot with gory-looking food and special effects."
