Reese Witherspoon Arrest Video: "I Need to Use the Restroom Because I'm Pregnant"

USMagazine, Friday, May 3, 2013, 4:25pm (PDT)

Reese, Reese, Reese. The latest incriminating footage of the Oscar-winning actress shows Reese Witherspoon trying to reason with a second police officer during her shocking Apr. 19 arrest in Atlanta -- and declaring that she was not only famous, but pregnant.

"I had questions to ask him and he said, 'No, you can't ask me any questions,' and I said, 'Sir, I have a question to ask you and I also need to use the restroom because I'm pregnant and he said, 'No, you are not allowed to do that,'" the sassy actress recounts to an officer in newly released dashboard footage.

The officer, who remains calm throughout the exchange, tells Witherspoon that his main concern was making sure that she wasn't popping in and out of the car while they were trying to deal with her inebriated husband Jim Toth.

"We don't know you from Adam," he tells Witherspoon by way of explanation. "A young lady like you could get killed [stepping into traffic]."

The actress, who appears a lot calmer than she did in an earlier heated exchange with another officer, then notes that she didn't understand why no one was showing her a "real ID" to prove that they were real police officers, per her demands. The officer explains that officers aren't required to do so because they are riding in "marked cars."

"I don't know that because I'm from Tennessee -- Nashville," Witherspoon protests.

Previous video from Witherspoon's mortifying night showed the 37-year-old actress arguing with another officer after he repeatedly asked her to stay in the car while administering a sobriety test on Toth, 42.

"My name is Reese Witherspoon. You're arresting me for obstruction to justice. It's gonna be in the national news -- I just want to let you know that," she told the officer defiantly, to which he responded, "That's fine."

Toth was later charged with driving under the influence, and Witherspoon was charged with disorderly conduct. Both parties pleaded no contest in court on May 2, and Witherspoon was ordered to fork over a $213 fine for her behavior. Toth was sentenced to 40 hours of community service and 12 months of probation. He was also ordered to enroll in an alcohol education program.

"I saw [the cop] arresting my husband and I literally panicked," Witherspoon explained on a May 2 interview on Good Morning America. "I told him I was pregnant. I'm not pregnant. I said all kinds of crazy things."
