The Hunger Games won't hit theaters until March 23, 2012, but Us Weekly has your first look at eight new official character posters from the highly-anticipated film series.

Oscar nominee Jennifer Lawrence, 21, famously won the role of heroine Katniss Everdeen, who's forced to compete in the life-or-death Hunger Games TV series. Liam Hemsworth, 21, will play her best friend Gale, while Josh Hutcherson, 19, will portray her ally, Peeta.

Up until now, the identities of Effie (Elizabeth Banks), Haymitch (Woody Harrelson), Cinna (Lenny Kravitz), Cato (Alexander Ludwig) and Rue (Amandla Stenberg) had been kept under wraps.

"Jennifer was so much fun. She's hilarious and kind of sarcastic," Stenberg told Us at the HALO Awards in Hollywood Wednesday. Hutcherson, meanwhile, "has this kind of self-deprecating humor and charm in real life, which makes him so perfect for the role."
