But make no mistake: the Oscar nominee is more than just a pretty face.
"There are a lot of young American actors right now who haven't got any technique," Matthew Vaughn, who directed Lawrence in this summer's X-Men: First Class, tells GQ. "And to be blunt, a lot of these kids assume that just by having a good set of teeth and tits, smiling for the camera's gonna be enough. I needed someone who could act."
Vaughn isn't the only one who's impressed with Lawrence's talents. Jodie Foster cast the Kentucky native in this month's dark comedy The Beaver (opposite Mel Gibson), and Lawrence recently won the coveted role of Katniss Everdeen in the highly-anticipated Hunger Games trilogy.
