The 22-year-old country singer was in the mood to celebrate Tuesday with her girlfriends and picked Shirley MacLaine's 78th birthday as the perfect reason to do so.

Swift and her three friends, including Glee star Dianna Agron, played dress up for the occasion and all went out for a special dinner in MacLaine's honor. The American film and theater actress is best known for her Oscar-winning performance in Terms of Endearment and her Oscar-nominated performance in The Apartment.

"We dressed up full-time fancy and went out in celebration of Shirley MacLaine's birthday," Swift tweeted Tuesday.

Agron, 25, suggested to her twitter followers they should try randomly celebrating sometime writing, "Had a long day & don't know what to celebrate later...? Because you need a moment to be young? Find your moments…"

The four ladies dressed in the spirit of the Oscar-winning actress by wearing gorgeous vintage gowns, gloves and flowery hats. According to the Daily Mail, the girls then headed to the Beverly Hills Hotel for dinner at the Polo Lounge.

Though MacLaine was not in attendance for the celebration, Swift and her friends still ordered a special dessert with "Happy Birthday Shirley MacLaine!" written decoratively on the plate.
