If Taylor Swift ever wanted to get back together with the cast of New Girl, they'd do it in a heartbeat. The 23-year-old "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" singer guest stars on the Fox comedy's Season Two finale Tuesday, May 14, and the cast told Us Weekly they had a blast working with her.
"She's awesome," Zooey Deschanel, who plays Jess, told Us at an Apr. 30 New Girl screening and panel in North Hollywood. "She's super-funny and really smart. Very professional and we loved working with her."
In the final episode titled "Elaine's Big Day," Cece (Hannah Simone) is set marry Shivrang (Satya Bhabha). "[Swift] plays a surprise guest that shows up at the wedding," Simone told Us. "She's incredibly funny and was such a delight. We all were laughing, she was great."
Max Greenfield, who stars as Schmidt, whole-heartedly agreed. He also hinted that Swift will, in fact, be singing on the show. "One word: Magic," Greenfield said of her guest role. "I was like, 'Just sing it, Taylor. Just sing it for everyone here. Sing it for the crew, do the foot stomp with it. And just let it go.'"
"I could see that she wanted to but then she felt like, 'Am I gonna do that?'" he joked. "But I don't think she realized how much we all wanted to hear her. I love that song, I'm telling you she was magic on the set, magic. Felt like we had a really good thing going, me and her."
