'The Vampire Diaries': Behind the scenes of the Masquerade

On last week's episode of "The Vampire Diaries," the town came together to help decorate the Lockwood home for the annual charity masquerade ball, but a day that began with charitable efforts ended in death, a hospital visit, and a devastating break-up. Despite all the trauma, the party must go on! In tomorrow's (Oct. 28) all-new episode, our favorite rag-tag group of vampire hunters (made up of a handful of vampires, a witch, a high school English teacher, and his reformed-stoner student) is going to go after Katherine (Nina Dobrev) once and for all. Given her track record, we doubt they'll be successful in offing her -- plus, Dobrev is having too much fun playing the bad girl. Still, watching them try should be a heck of a ride.These behind-the-scenes photos reveal all the girls in glamorous dresses and masks - and we can't help but love, love, love the pics of the boys in their suits. Looks like Katherine and her latest sacrificial lamb, Matt (Zach Roerig) will get some quality time in together - at least until he and Tyler (Michael Trevino) break out the booze... which given Matt's current compulsion for death, could take a dangerous turn.Bonnie (Katerina Graham) meets newcomer Lucy, with whom she has a lot in common... but we may also see her hang out with Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen). Her BFF's little brother is looking pretty grown up these days, don't you think?Missing from the Masquerade? Elena, who is presumably at home taking care of Jenna's self-inflicted knife wound.
