U.S. Women Break 4x100-Meter World Record, Win Gold

Team USA's Women's 4x100-Meter victory Friday was doubly sweet. The reason?

Tianna Madison, Allyson Felix, Bianca Knight and Carmelita Jeter didn't just place first -- they shattered the world record previously held by East Germany with their final time of 40.82 seconds.

Jamaica's Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, Sherone Simpson, Veronica Campbell-Brown and Kerron Stewart took home silver, while the Ukraine's quartet -- Olesya Pvh, Hrystyna Stuy, Mariya Ryemyen and Elyzaveta Bryzgina -- earned the bronze.

Earlier this week, Jeter grabbed silver in the women's 100m race and the bronze in the women's 200m; Felix brought home gold in the 200m race.
