Erika Van Pelt shocked fans when she debuted a drastic new look on Americal Idol's top 10 night Wednesday.

The 26-year-old took the advice of the show's new in-house stylist Tommy Hilfiger by chopping off her shoulder-length blonde hair and dyeing it black. The result: a Kris Jenner-esque 'do.

Between her edgy hair and all-black ensemble, Van Pelt was unrecognizable when she took the stage to perform Billy Joel's  "New York State of Mind."
