Rapper 50 Cent has bumped up the release of his new album Before I Self Destruct after the disc leaked in its entirety a month before it was due to hit stores.
The In Da Club star, real name Curtis Jackson, was originally due to unveil the project in the summer (09), but it had its release date pushed back twice until 23 November (09)
But the songs hit the web last week (28Oct09) and although 50 Cent isn't angry about fans hearing the tracks early, he is determined to make the most of album sales by bringing forward the release date by one week.
He tells MTV.com,"I feel good that it was leaked in its entirety, in sequence, so people can hear my vision. Instead of pieces, where I would be like, 'Damn, I spent my time sequencing.'
"I'm pushing the record up, so the album release date is the 16th (Nov09). I'm expecting (the album) to do good because of the response that I've heard on the web."
