Fashion Forensics for Oct. 9

By Saryn Chorney
When you just need to know every freakin' last detail of the latest designer celeb looks, Wonderwall's fashion forensics technicians provide the intel on who wore what when -- and where to find it for way less.
Rihanna rocked the Chanel Pret a Porter show at Paris Fashion Week on Oct. 6 dressed in a fash-tastic amalgamation of uptown Chanel couture (the high waisted tweed skirt, the muff... yes, I said muff) and downtown '80s girl gear (the Madonna bustier, the Mr. T necklaces). In case you hadn't heard, piles of chains (Chanel here, natch) and statement necklaces are the "it" accessory of the season. I pity the fool who doesn't believe me and RiRi.
Get the look:
Necklace: Cara Couture Multi Strand Chain Necklace, $98
Top: Felina 'Tricia' Bustier, $36.90
Skirt: SoCa St. John Basketweave Knit Tweed Pencil Skirt, $395

"Slumdog" breakout starlet Freida Pinto graced the Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer 2010 fashion show in Paris this week with her adorable presence. Decked out in electric blue LV and some badass black booties, I'm feeling Ms. Pinto's punkette attitude.
Get the look:
Dress: Calvin Klein Front Matte Jersey Sheath Dress, $118
Shoes: Steve Madden 'Sleakk' Bootie, $109.95

Here's something to tweet about: Beyonce at the Billboard Women in Music brunch on Oct. 2. The super star songbird sports a robin's egg blue dress that really works with both her curves and complexion. Plus, the deep V of this Malandrino number adds a little va-va-voom to an otherwise girlish frock. Gotta love the beige leather peep-toes, too.

Dress: Adrianna Papell Rosette Halter Dress, $148
Shoes: Pelle Moda 'Giva' Evening Sandal, $184.95

Leighton Meester turned heads at the Louis Vuitton Pret a Porter show during Paris Fashion Week on Oct. 7. Even if you question the "Gossip Girl" starlet's choice of black socks with platform sandals (who wouldn't?), her little black 'n colorful Louis Vuitton dress accessorized with a vest and skinny belt is tres chic.
Get the Look:
Dress: Empire Waist Knit Dress, $42
Vest: Elizabeth and James 'Thames' Ponte Knit Vest, $245
Belt: Lauren by Ralph Lauren Patent Leather Belt, $52

Supermodel Veronica Webb dazzled at the American Ballet Theatre's Fall Gala in New York on Oct. 7 wearing an audacious creation by the ever-fierce Christian Siriano. This under-the-sea inspired bubble hem mermaid gown just made me gasp in breathy anticipation for the "Project Runway" prodigy's Spring 2010 collection. Want it now!
Get the Look:
Gown: Aidan Mattow Niteline Strapless Metallic Weave Gown, $199.90
Purse: Carlo Fellini Fan Pleat Satin Clutch, $48

No white after labor day? Not anymore. Emmy Rossum recently split with her husband, but she looked every bit the blushing bride at the American Ballet Theatre Gala on Oct. 7 in New York. Emmy's gold-embellished, one-shoulder Marchesa Grecian gown surely made her date (Counting Crows singer Adam Duritz, collective WTF?) thank Zeus.
Get the Look:
Gown: JS Boutique One Shoulder Chiffon Gown, $170
Product: Clinique 'Self Sun' Body Airbrush Spray, $20
