Talent Alert: Tom and Katie Can Jog and Hold Hands at the Same Time
Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes have eased up on the ridiculously over-the-top displays of public affection that marked the early days of their courtship (refresh your memory here, here and here, although we advise you to do so on an empty stomach). But they're still big with the touchy-feely, even when exercising. Paparazzi captured the pair holding hands while out for a jog Saturday in Boston, where the actor is filming the painfully punnily titled spy flick "Knight & Day." So, was this an athletic show of togetherness for the photogs? A spontaneous romantic moment spurred by an endorphin high? Or merely an exchange of long protein strings a la alien overlords Kang and Kodos from "The Simpsons"? Your guess is as good as ours. Either way, that night, TomKat managed to avoid shutterbugs while accompanying 3-year-old daughter Suri trick-or-treating. According to the Boston Herald, Cruise was outfitted as a scarecrow, Holmes dressed up as a Dalmatian and Suri -- color us surprised -- stepped out as a princess. The next day, cameras were clicking once again as Katie, who just signed on to star and executive produce the comedy "The Romantics," awkwardly threw her arm around Tom's shoulder and smiled at photographers as they took a stroll.

Jude Law May Be in Serious Need of ChapStick
Samantha Burke, the mother of Jude Law's infant daughter, recently revealed that he's yet to meet his newest offspring because "he's busy." So, what's the actor been busy doing, besides channeling Hamlet on Broadway? If you believe the New York Post, part of the problem could be his packed puckering schedule. Word is, Law was playing tonsil hockey with a hottie at Manhattan hot spot The Box on Saturday night. "Other guests were trying to talk to Jude," alleges a spy, "so he got a member of the staff to keep them away while he flirted with and kissed a very pretty blonde." The supposed sighting comes just days after the paper spied the star, who recently discounted rumors that he was reconciling with onetime fiancée Sienna Miller, making out with a "comely" woman at another club. In between the saliva exchanges, Jude has been snapped out and about with Rafferty, 13, Iris, 8, and Rudy, 7, his three kids with ex-wife Sadie Frost. And it appears the former flames are still on friendly terms. "He's a wonderful person and I'll stand by him forever," Frost is quoted as telling Grazia magazine. "We're both a hundred percent committed to the kids and doing the right thing by them. Everything's fine." Besides, she adds, "I see him more as a brother now and that makes things easier."
Has Fergie Sent Josh to the 'Doghouse'?
While Josh Duhamel moved fast last week to denounce the National Enquirer's claim that he'd two-timed wife Fergie with a chatty stripper, he may still have some 'splainin' to do at home. The Chicago Sun-Times claims the couple had a "very intense and heated" tête-à-tête about the tabloid tale. "He's definitely in the doghouse," alleges a snitch close to the Black Eyed Peas singer. "But Fergie's hanging in there -- at least for the time being ... She understands show business marriages are not like other people's." The actor's rep slammed the story that an Atlanta exotic dancer spun to the tab about the so-called "passionate" night she spent in his hotel room, calling it "absolutely ridiculous" and adding, "This is not the first nor will it be the last time that a stripper was paid a large amount of money to sell a false story about a celebrity."

Nicole Richie's Mysterious Rock
Nicole Richie and Joel Madden have roundly denied reports that they secretly tied the knot last month in a mass ceremony officiated by the Unification Church, but speculation continues that they've committed to stick together until death do they part. Fueling the rumors: Nicole was snapped a few days back flashing a sparkly band on her telltale finger. Seems the starlet wore the eyebrow-raising ring while playing with cuter-than-cute daughter Harlow, 22 months, at a Los Angeles park on Friday. She reportedly still had it on while visiting her lawyer's office later that day, although Star says she covered her hands with Madonna-esque lace gloves after the meeting, ostensibly to thwart waiting paparazzi. "One day I would love to get married," Richie told People magazine in the recent cover story introducing moniker-challenged son Sparrow. "It's not something we're talking about now. Kelly Osbourne's 'Grown-Up' Diamond Ring
Kelly Osbourne isn't even married and she's already received an engagement ring upgrade. Ozzy's little girl-turned-"Dancing With the Stars" hoofer is showing off the heart-shaped rock that model-fiancé Luke Worrall just slipped on her finger. "Luke got me this ring when he decided he wanted to marry me," she tells OK! of her original, entry-level bauble, which has now moved to her right hand. "And he waited a while and saved up and got me this. I was like 'aaaah'! It’s my real, proper, grown-up engagement ring. I love it!" Kelly says Luke was so eager to present her with the new and improved sparkler that he couldn't hold out until her 25th birthday on Oct. 27. Laughs Osbourne, "He gave it to me like a week before."
