Crazy Katy hosts the Euro MTV Music Awards
The Interwebs were abuzz with the name Katy Perry this week. The singer went through a whopping 12 outfit changes during her hosting gig at the European MTV Music Awards on Thursday. First down the red carpet in this gorgeous gown and later in booty shorts with the name "Rusty" across them. Rusty, of course, referring to Katy's man Russell Brand. Even when they're far away from each other they're adorable little gossip mongers.
Rihanna talks about Chris Brown incident
Rihanna opened up for the first time since the Chris Brown incident this week, revealing that she briefly went back to the singer right after the infamous pre-Grammy beating. She also admitted it was a mistake and made her a poor role model for other victims of domestic violence. Hearing her speak so openly about it with Diane Sawyer proved that the 21-year-old singer has really grown up in the past year.
Mariah admits an abused past
Rihanna wasn't the only star to open up this week. Mariah Carey revealed that, as a young starlet, she had been the victim of abuse by her former husband Tommy Mottola. But luckily Mariah also says she's moved on and found happiness with her first true love, husband Nick Cannon. Maybe we'll hear the pitter patter of mini-Mimis sometime soon!
Duhamel denies sleeping with stripper
Another week, another rumor about an actor cheating on his lady. This week Josh Duhamel denied cheating on wife Fergie with blonde stripper Nicole Forrester. But his denial didn't stop the "other woman" from blabbing to the media to reveal the truth (read: get paid). Josh's case against the stripper was hurt even more when the she passed a lie detector test. Josh better get on his knees an start apologizing to Fergie right now if this turns out to be true.
Kate celebrates Yankee World Series win
Looks like we won't be seeing any more Kate-Hudson-watching-a-baseball-game pics for a while. The actress skipped her annual Halloween bash to help root for boyfriend Alex Rodriguez in the World Series this week. She must have brought good luck to the New York team as they won their 27th World Series title. Bravo, boys!
Demi denies dating Jonas bro
Teen singing sensation Demi Lovato took to Twitter (natch) to strongly deny rumors that she and Joe Jonas were more than just friends. She even went as far as to say: "I promise on my entire career that I am not." Fair enough, but the whole thing started when blogger Zack Taylor (a family friend of the Lovatos) posted that Demi's own mother gave him the scoop on her daughter's relationship status. To which Demi responded, "Gosh, mom, quit embarrassing me!"
Martin and Baldwin to co-host the Oscars
Let the funny commence! Veteran comedians Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin will join forces to host next year's Academy Awards show. Perhaps the Academy thought they needed two people to live up to last year's host Hugh Jackman. But the decision probably has more to do with Steve and Alec's upcoming film, "It's Complicated." Ah well, a little 50-million-viewer publicity stunt never hurt anyone.
