Cinematographer Robert Richardson arrested for DUI

  • Hollywood cinematographer Robert Richardson is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) after he was arrested on Friday night.

    The 56-year-old, who won Oscars for his work on "The Aviator," "Hugo" and "JFK," was pulled over by police in Los Angeles for a traffic violation, but officers reportedly smelled alcohol on his breath and Richardson was taken into custody after failing a field sobriety test.

    According to TMZ.com, the film veteran was booked with a blood alcohol level which was almost twice the legal limit. He was released from jail on Saturday morning.

    Richardson is also known for his work on "Inglourious Basterds," "Shutter Island" and "A Few Good Men."
