Mel Gibson's divorce finalized

  • Mel Gibson is officially single. A judge signed off on his divorce from estranged wife Robyn on Friday.

    The "Braveheart" star split from his spouse in 2006, shortly after his infamous arrest for driving under the influence, and Robyn filed for legal separation in April 2009, citing "irreconcilable differences" for ending their 28-year marriage.

    They reached a financial settlement in June and a Los Angeles judge granted the former couple a divorce decree just in time for Christmas, reports TMZ.

    Gibson shares seven children with Robyn.

    He also has a baby daughter with ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva.
