Split Speculation Surrounds Melanie Griffith and Antonio Banderas

While partying at the Cannes Film Festival in May, Banderas, 51, was captured on camera enjoying a cozy dance session with Bollywood actress Mallika Sherawat. A month earlier, he was snapped looking friendly with a blonde during a jaunt to Cancun.

"I think Melanie's self-esteem hit an all-time low and she believed Antonio was torturing her [by hanging out with other ladies]," a source maintained to the National Enquirer. "For years, it is as if she's been consumed with jealousy over his flirting and outspoken love for beautiful women.

But insiders tell People mag that there's nothing to see here, so move along.

"They seem absolutely fine. Honestly, they seem happy," insists a source, with another adding that Banderas "is in Budapest filming and they'll be together again as soon as he's done. They really are very happy together."

Last year, Antonio was asked how married men deal with temptation. His take?

"I think that you should be able to be honest with your wife: 'I should be able to tell you that, yeah, sometimes I walk into a party and I feel there are women there that are very beautiful. And you shouldn't be upset. In the same way, you may see a guy who's very attractive,'" he explained to AARP magazine. "The question is, how much will you stretch that?"

Concluded the Spanish star with a laugh, "It's all about balance in life. We all need water, obviously, but I'm not going to drink the pool. I think it's very important that you know exactly where the limits are."
