Kanye Surprises Kim With 'Best Birthday Ever'

Kim Kardashian's 32nd birthday apparently came and went without an offer to become Mrs. Kanye West.

Despite anvils dropped by Kardashian reality overlord Ryan Seacrest, Yeezy did not pop the question during the couple's romantic getaway to Italy, according to Kim's BFF.

"She wrote me [Monday] morning and didn't mention it," Jonathan Cheban tells The Huffington Post.

It's probably just as well, considering that Kim is still married to Kris Humphries, whom she split with this time last year. (And yeah, we nearly forgot about him, too.)

Despite the absence of a knuckle-crushing diamond ring, Kardashian still declared the jaunt to Rome and Venice to be the "best birthday ever!!!"

"Kanye surprised me for my birthday and took me to Italy!" she gushed Monday on her blog. "This has been the most incredible, romantic trip ever!!"

Kim shared several pics that show her celebrating on Sunday, which was also the final night of their getaway. Coincidentally (or not), she's modeling a lacy, bridal-like white dress.

"We were in Venice walking around and taking in the sights," she enthuses, "and we stopped in the Dolce & Gabbana store and I got this amazing runway dress with red bag!"

Turns out this was just one of several quick changes Kim made for the paparazzi.

During dinner Thursday night in Rome, Kardashian stepped into the ladies' room for a mid-meal couture swap, exchanging a sleek, all-black outfit for the less-than-flattering emerald-green Tom Ford peplum dress at left.
