NEW YORK (AP) -- Abraham Lincoln is getting the star treatment.
Award-winning actors Jeremy Irons, Marian Seldes and Frances Sternhagen will be among those reciting Lincoln tributes next month from a new Library of America volume that features such writers and politicians as President Obama, Walt Whitman and Carl Sandburg.
The free, midday reading, to be held May 1 at Saint Peter's Church in midtown Manhattan, is sponsored by the nonprofit TIPA (Toward International Peace Through the Arts). The Library of America book "The Lincoln Anthology" was published recently in celebration of the bicentennial of Lincoln's birth.
