Jason Mesnick is No Longer a 'Bachelor' After Marrying Molly Melaney

"The Bachelor" has been busy playing matchmaker. On last week's season finale, Jake Pavelka and Vienna Girardi got engaged. On a special episode this week, Jason Mesnick and Molly Melaney exchanged vows after falling in love on last year's controversial edition. The guest list included many familiar faces, including happy couples from "Bachelor" and "Bachelorette" history.

Jason and Molly cordially invited viewers to their wedding at Terranea Resort in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA on February 27. Molly said the "wedding is a really big thank you to the people who have stood by us the last year; a celebration of the fact that Jason and I love each other and we're going strong."

Once the cameras stopped documenting their daily life, Molly and Jason continued dating long distance for 10 months. Jason was in Seattle to be with his son Ty, while Molly stayed in Wisconsin. The geographical distance was hard to cope with, so Molly packed up her things and moved west. She said that "the transition was smooth" for welcoming Ty into her life and her into his.

Before the beautiful bride walked down the aisle, cameras followed their every move as they pieced the big day together. Determined to pack a lot in to one weekend in Los Angeles, Molly and Jason met with Neil Lane to find wedding bands that best represented their relationship. Molly said, "For me, the wedding band symbolizes forever. It's my future with Jason."

They indulged their sweet tooth, enjoying a sample of red velvet wedding cake. While registering at Macy's, Jason even zapped Molly, saying he wanted to register for one of her. The two parted ways when it came time for dress and suit shopping. Molly bonded with her mom and sister at the Monique Lhuillier boutique. It was an intimate father-son moment for Jason and his pop at Kenneth Cole.

Friends gathered in Sin City to live it up Vegas style for a joint bachelor and bachelorette blow out weekend. While the gals enjoyed a spa day at the Bellagio, the guys hit up the casino. The ladies learned some erotic dance moves in their hotel suite and partied VIP at a one of the top clubs on the Strip. In front of the famous fountains at the resort, Molly and Jason reunited for a romantic moment.

Following a wine filled rehearsal dinner and embarrassing roasts from family members, it was time for the bride and groom to go their separate ways for the night. In the bridal suite, Molly and her bridal party got pampered with A-list treatment. Celebrity hairstylist Ken Paves (Eva Longoria) worked on her locks, while Mally Roncal (Beyonce, Jennifer Lopez, and Rihanna) made her face glisten.

Molly's "something blue" was a special note from Jason attached to her bouquet that read: "Babe, our forever starts now. I cannot wait to spend the rest of my life with you. You truly are stargazing and amazing." She returned the sentiment, writing to him: "From the moment I met you through to today and for the rest of my life, you will always give me butterflies."

There were two slight hitches encountered in getting hitched. The weather did not cooperate, leading to a downpour as they exchanged vows. However, it did set the stage for a beautiful backdrop with a rainbow arched over the Pacific Ocean. Additionally, paparazzi were trying to peep on the affair, causing security to step in and forcefully escort them off the premises. Molly did not turn into a bridezilla, keeping her cool amidst the stressors.

To the song "Somewhere Over the Rainbow," played by "American Idol"'s Jason Castro, Molly was walked down the aisle by her doting father. The couple recited heartfelt poems to one another before white doves were released into the sky. They each put their heart and soul out there by exchanging personalized vows they wrote themselves. Molly's uncle, the officiate, then pronounced them husband and wife. The Mrs. And Mrs. danced down the aisle in the rain to the reception, where "Bachelor" host Chris Harrison surprised them with a performance by Gavin DeGraw for their first dance as husband and wife. Jason was also glad to have Ty there to witness the wedding, but he and his ex-wife agreed to keep cameras away from him.

The newly minted Mesnick's are not the only couple to have found love on the show. The first "Bachelorette," Trista, married Ryan Sutter six years ago and are now parents to two young children. "All of my dreams have come true. I have lived a fairy tale," she said. Jillian Harris and Ed Swiderski, from "Bachelorette"'s fifth season, remain engaged and are planning their wedding, yet they have yet to commit to a venue and date. She said, "It's so crazy to think how stable out relationship is now that it came from something so out of control."

Season 7 of "The Bachelor" brought together Charlie O'Connell and Sarah Brice. They broke up for one year after dating for two and a half, but have since reunited and are going strong. Deanna Pappas has been dating Stephen Stagliano for the past six months. Ironically, his twin brother Michael competed for Jillian's heart on the hit ABC reality show.

All of these "Bachelor" and "Bachelorette" couples, plus Richard Mathy and Jesse Csincsak from "Bachelorette"'s fourth season and "Bachelor" season 13's Nikki Kaapke and Stephanie Hogan were on the guest list for the nuptials. Melissa Rycroft and hubby Tye Strickland did not attend.

With the exchange of vows, this marks the first time a "Bachelor" couple has become husband and wife. Trista and Ryan are the first and only "Bachelorette" couple to make it down the aisle so far. Some other weddings are on the horizon though, including the union of Jake and Vienna. Cameras caught up with the newly engaged couple to check in. Jake said, "There is no doubt in my mind that Vianna and I will be married."
