Jay Leno reportedly spoke out on Monday's "The Jay Leno Show" about what led to the late night shake-up at NBC and what the future may hold for "The Tonight Show."
The Associated Press reports that Leno took a serious turn on his show, declaring that he had tried to avoid doing a primetime show before ultimately being convinced to do one by NBC.
According to the AP, Leno said that he may be headed back to the 11:35 p.m. timeslot and that the details could be ironed out by Tuesday. He also referred to Conan O'Brien as a "great guy."
An official announcement has yet to be made in the wake of the cancellation of "The Jay Leno Show" in the 10 p.m. timeslot, but NBC reportedly plans to put Leno back on "The Tonight Show" at 11:35 p.m. if Conan does not concede to moving his show to 12:05 p.m.
