Jim Carrey Victim of Death Hoax

  • Jim Carrey has become the latest celebrity death hoax victim after bogus reports of him dying in a plane crash spread online.

    Carrey became a hot topic on social networking websites on Wednesday after a Facebook page titled "RIP Jim Carrey" was set up.

    Pranksters claimed the 50-year-old had "passed away due to a fatal plane crash," but Carrey's representative dismissed the allegations and assured fans he is alive and well.

    Carrey is the second Hollywood actor to be falsely killed off this week. Johnny Depp was also targeted online on Wednesday.
