Katie Holmes named one of the sexiest women of the century

Katie Holmes has made history! GQ has just named the former girl next door one of the 100 hottest women of the 21st century -- due in large part to her topless scene in the 2000 supernatural murder mystery "The Gift."

The magazine compares Holmes' role in director Sam Raimi's movie to her breakout role on The WB's "Dawson's Creek."

"She has the same Joey Potter tics: head tilts, shoulder shrugs up, lips chew down into a lopsided grin," writer Mark Lotto says of the TV role that made Holmes famous. "But then she takes off her top ..."

Lotto jokes that Holmes' ex-husband, Tom Cruise, likes to watch the actress' nude scene when he's feeling nostalgic. "And every time topless Katie taunts [Greg Kinnear] with a 'F--- you,' Tom feels as if she's talking to him, and he thinks some terribly Greg Kinnearish things."

Holmes, 33, wasn't the only single star to make GQ's list; Britney Spears, Charlize Theron, Rashida Jones, Jennifer Lawrence and Connie Britton were also named some of the sexiest women of the 21st century. Beyonce appears on the magazine's February cover.
