Dunst's life and career hit a speed bump in 2008, when she checked into a rehab center in Utah, spending about six weeks in a facility where she was treated for depression. She later opened up in the press about her problems, and was quick to squash the rumors that her stint in rehab had anything to do with drugs or alcohol. "I was struggling, and I had the opportunity to go somewhere and take care of myself," a 26-year-old Dunst told E! Online. "I was fortunate to have the resources to do it. My friends and family thought it was a good idea too." About the tabloid talk at the time, she added, "Depression is pretty serious and should not be gossiped about."
