The foundation started as a tribute to your father. Talk to me about him and why you felt it necessary to honor him in this way.
Just Keep Livin started as a compass or a motto for me to keep my relationship with him alive after he passed away. Then it became sort of a decision-making paradigm for life that I applied to certain situations when I wasn't sure of the right thing to do. It allows me to make this "just keep livin" choice: what choice gives you more residuals; what choice pays you back more; what choice pays more people back. It's amazing how it works when you break it down ... [Just Keep Livin] has also became a [clothing] brand, a record company, a production company and foundation. It just so happens that the "just keep livin" mantra fits more coherently with a foundation.
