Mel Gibson's Latest PR Headache: Chatty Ex-Girlfriend, Tab-Blabbing 'Porn Queen'

If Mel Gibson was hoping his breakup with Oksana Grigorieva would quietly fade away amid messier Hollywood splits, he's probably feeling pretty darn disappointed right about now.

In a new sit-down with Hello! magazine (via the London Daily Mail and Celebitchy), the Oscar winner's former flame opens up about their relationship.

"We were very much in love," declares Oksana, who gave birth to daughter Lucia, the actor's eighth child, in October. "He was the biggest love of my life and that's what Mel always told me."

The rubbery-lipped Russian warbler, who also has a 13-year-old son with former 007 Timothy Dalton, goes on to reset the timeline of the romance.

"The truth always comes out. We've been together for three years," she states, "not one year as people have been writing. So over the past three years, there have been a lot of untruths, written by the yellow press mostly."

In April 2009, Gibson's not-quite-ex wife Robyn filed for divorce after nearly thirty years and seven kids together (six sons and a daughter), citing irreconcilable differences.

Shortly before Mrs. Gibson pulled the plug on the marriage, from which she is expected to collect a record-setting payout, Mel was photographed cozying up to Oksana on a Costa Rican beach.

In his response to the petition, the Catholicism-devoted star listed their date of separation as August 2006.

"When I met him he was a year a half separated from his wife, and for another six months, it wasn't even an option," recalls Oksana. "We were just working together. I thought he was married … then it was explained to me what had happened and I thought, okay. And he was very much trying to woo me, is that the right word? He wrote me a lot of poetry … it was very beautiful, impressionistic, like an edgy modern iambic pentameter. Mel has a really good grasp of language, he's fantastic with words."

Grigorieva reportedly walked away from the relationship with a $3 million San Fernando Valley estate and generous support payments for Lucia, who, she gushes, is "the spitting image" of her dad, "very beautiful with blue eyes."

She's also quick to deny rumors that Gibson demanded a paternity test and stepped out on her while she was pregnant.

The current issue of National Enquirer alleges that the image-impaired A-lister carried on a three-month affair with one Violet Kowal, who, and we're quoting here, is a "porn filmmaker from Poland" and "an angelic-looking blonde who could pass for a teenager."

"Mel's breakup with Oksana doesn't surprise me at all," Violet, 26, tells the tab, which features her striking a kittenish pose next to the headline, "Porn Queen: My Fling With Mel." "Clearly, Mel can't commit to just one woman."

Not that Violet is complaining about how she was supposedly treated.

"Mel always carried around a large black duffel bag filled with cash," asserts Kowal. "Each time we were together, he'd reach into the bag and give me an envelope filled with $700 or $800 before I left."

Because nothing says "I respect you as a lady" like an envelope stuffed with money.

She also contends that Gibson would joke about what she did for a living, teasing, "So, when are you going to let me direct some of your movies? You know I'm a great director. It would be fun."

Kowal maintains that they last hooked up a few weeks before Grigorieva gave birth, with the purported affair petering out because Mel "was driving himself crazy sneaking around trying not to get caught."

Sighs Violet, "I'm glad it's over."

Gibson's lawyer calls the adult auteur's claims of their so-called "torrid" dalliance an "absurd fabrication."
